Routing the Sirius Antenna Lead

The antenna sits on a piece of steel angle that is screwed into the inside of the luggage rack.  I left enough length to allow me to move it atop my gear if I ever get interference from things packed up top.

Below:  I made a loop of stiff (THHN) wire and shoved it up under the drain hole.  Next I pushed the antenna connector through the drain hole, into the loop.  I then forced the corner of the luggage rack up and pulled the antenna plug out.

Inside the van, I removed one screw in the canvas hold-down strip.  Then pried it up and pushed/pulled the plug and wire underneath.  This is a mock-up for the pic; the screwdriver should be padded so the paint doesn't get scratched.

Using a flat (expendable) kitchen tool, I pushed the antenna cable up under the headliner.  My Sportster receiver was mounted high on the left for easy reach, but was in the way.  Now it is sitting as low as it will go on the left.  Still easy to reach.  Excess antenna length is wound up in the "spice rack".  Maybe it will also go up under the headliner.  Along the left side of the window the antenna lead is pushed under the window seal, so it is hidden rather well.
